  • I think Afghanistan could be a no-win war. The Soviets lost, we could lose, and the Afghans themselves will lose because they cannot unite for a common cause. Fragments of a society will fight until they are dead. These factions and tribes have never been able to get along.

  • I am a liberal and I would never convict someone based on a few news stories. I think this woman needs mental health help, and she should be able to get some in prison if she is convicted. People who set fires are dangerous to everyone. People who kill are dangerous to everyone.
